Step 1. Confirm you have Toast integration access
1. Log in to Toast Web in a browser with an account that has Account Admin or Manage Integrations permissions.
2. In the left navigation, go to
Integrations → Integration management → Browse & purchase integrations.
3. If you do not see Integration management or Browse and purchase, talk to your Toast account rep. You may need the Partner Integrations subscription enabled for your locations.
Assumption check
People sometimes assume that “having Toast” automatically means “having Partner Connect and API integrations turned on.” It does not. There is usually a separate subscription and permission.
Step 2. Add Menuboard Manager in Toast Partner integrations
1. In Toast Web, while you are on
Integrations → Integration management → Browse and purchase integrations, search for “Menuboard Manager” in the marketplace.
2. Click the Menuboard Manager tile.
3. Click the button to add the integration. The label may be Add Now, Learn More, or Sign Up depending on how Toast has it configured.
4. If you have multiple locations, use the location selection screen to choose which stores will connect to Menuboard Manager, then click Apply.
5. Confirm on the final screen. Toast will now grant Menuboard Manager API access to those locations. Under the hood, this is what actually tells Toast “this partner is allowed to read my menus.” Until this step is done, Menuboard Manager cannot pull any menu data.
