What's New: MenuMagik Free Tools for Menuboard Manager
Menuboard Manager has launched a suite of free tools at menumagik.ai to help operators set up their displays faster, design better menus, and connect their POS data without manual work.
All tools are available at no cost. A quick one-time registration (name and email) is required before your first use of each tool. No Menuboard Manager login is required to access them.
Magik Menu Builder
Magik Menu Builder is an AI-powered tool that generates professional, display-ready menu board layouts from your design references and menu items. Upload inspiration images, provide your item list, describe the look you want, and the AI produces a fully designed menu board in a single click.
Key capabilities
Design reference upload
Upload one or more menus, brand guides, or design images (JPEG, PNG, or PDF) as visual inspiration. The AI analyzes each reference to extract color palette, typography style, layout patterns, and decorative details. Using multiple references gives the AI more signal to work from.
Menu item upload
Upload your menu content as a text file, CSV, image, or PDF. If you use Toast POS, export your item list from Toast Web → Menus → Bulk Management → Items Database and upload that CSV here.
Prompt and style chips
Describe the design in plain language (dark walnut background, warm gold accents, two-column layout, upscale steakhouse) and use the optional style chip categories for precise direction:
Layout & Structure — grid type, visual anchors, balance approach
Font Selection — specific Google Fonts from sans-serif, serif, display, and script families
Color & Gradients — color theory rules, gradient styles, contrast
Borders, Corners & Shadows — shadow type, corner radius, border style
Resolution and orientation
1080p or 4K — 1080p is faster for iterating; 4K is display-ready for final export
Landscape (16:9) or Portrait (9:16) — for standard horizontal boards or portrait-mounted displays
Generation
The tool runs a two-step AI process: first it extracts a structured design brief from your reference images and prompt; then it generates a complete styled HTML menu board using that brief plus built-in professional menu design principles (menu engineering psychology, typography hierarchy, QSR digital menu board standards). Total generation time is typically 20–40 seconds.
Export for Canva
Downloads the full menu board as a layered PDF. Open it in Canva to make text edits, update prices, and add branding without rebuilding the design.

The recommended workflow for Menuboard Manager users:

Toggle BG Only to preview the background without text
Export the background-only PDF
Upload the background to your Menuboard Manager presentation
Layer live POS-connected Field Sections on top for dynamic item names, prices, and descriptions

Graphics to Text
Graphics to Text extracts menu content from images and PDFs and converts it into a structured CSV file ready to import into Menuboard Manager. Upload a photo of your printed menu, a PDF from your designer, or a screenshot — and get a clean, organized field list back in seconds.
