How to use SyncPlay to make a video wall

  1. Samsung units must be on a wired network

  2. A compatible network switch that supports IGMP

  3. Only one Presentation is recommended

  4. All videos need to be of the same length, for example, 10 seconds

  5. All displays would need a Presentation with SyncPlay enabled and all units using the same SyncPlay ID

  6. A compatible network switch (specs below)

The Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) is a protocol that allows several devices to share one IP address so they can all receive the same data. IGMP is a network layer protocol used to set up multicasting on networks that use the Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4). Specifically, IGMP allows devices to join a multicasting group.

Note: On the latest Samsung QM-Series units, SyncPlay video appears in front of all other layers on the displays. Therefore, any HTML including Fields using dynamic text will be hidden behind a SyncPlay video.
