Core Objects

Sign The top-level container in Menuboard Manager. A sign holds one or more presentations and is configured with scheduling, locations, and groups. Signs live in the Finder.

Presentation The Presentation is where you add/remove/manage content. A presentation is built with images, videos, dynamic text Fields, custom HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and widgets. Multiple presentations can be assigned to a sign and rotated automatically or on a schedule.

Field A dynamic text element in a presentation — there are three types: text field, number field, or card field. Fields are either manually created or pulled automatically from a POS integration, for example, Toast fields can be pulled automatically from a Toast POS integration. Toast Integration Guide

Price Sheet A location-specific document of menu item names and prices. Price sheets are created when a sign is published to a location and has dynamic fields. Price sheets are automatically updated manually or via POS Integration.

Unit A physical media player or display device running the Menuboard Manager app — Android device, Samsung TIZEN commercial display, BrightSign player, LG WebOS display, Amazon Fire TV, or Chromecast. Units are managed in the Units Manager.
